Since the idea to have a youth-led leadership program was first proposed to the Leadership Anaheim Board of Directors three years ago, Youth Leadership Anaheim (YLA) has experienced considerable growth. Under the mentorship and guidance of Leadership Anaheim, the idea of creating a youth leadership program produced by local youth has become an ever-improving reality. YLA has developed a model of educating youth about leadership by looking at local leaders and organizations as role models and examples. YLA's reputation has also grown as the youth boards have successfully reached out to local businesses and organizations for support and advisement.
